I've moved

You can find my blog at Moncks Corner Moments.

Update your feeds accordingly.

I don't think I'll be moving the haloscan comments. (I don't think it's an option.)

I fell in love with wordpress while setting up Home Ec 101.

MMPORG

Those of you sitting near me at the last blogger meet-up know my geekness extends to games like Starcraft.

I'm not alone, so hush.

I found this satire this morning and had to share.

If WWII was an MMPORG.

Vultures are circling

The MLS listing for our home expired almost a week ago. Since then our phone has been ringing nonstop. Lately I receive upwards of ten calls a day. I'm tired of explaining to agents that we will not be relisting at this time. So, I let the phone ring.

We have a strange phone that does not have an off switch for the ringer. I will look for this in the future, I never realized it was an "option." I thought it was standard.

This wouldn't be nearly so obnoxious if it weren't for the fact I have an abysmal head cold. The vibration from the ringing phone is enough to send me to garage while I wait for the caller to give up. They don't leave messages, so why should I answer in the first place?

Last complaint of the day

I swear my allergies are so bad I can feel the pull of the moon in my sinuses.

Time to refill my prescription.

Overheard

Scene: Aidan standing in time-out for opening the oven to look at his chicken nuggets.

Tim: Do I need to flip 'em?
Aidan (bursting into tears): I don't want to be flipped!

Boiling Water and Other Things

So yes, I was a slacker and didn't keep bottled water on hand, so the other day was my fault. However, the only thing more obnoxious than being under a boil advisory is being under a boil advisory with a sick kid and wondering if maybe they had had some of the water before hearing about the warning.

Yes, I'm paranoid, but that's my job.

Margo and I took the rugrats to Charles Towne Landing on Tuesday.

I'm getting used to the new writing schedule, with both the paper and the new site. Ivy and I are announcing a contest on Monday, so stop on by.

I'm hoping to return to my normal blogging as soon as I finish adjusting.

Tech help for Wordpress

Yes, I know it's mildly ironic I'm asking on Blogger. (The switch will be soon.)

I am looking for either some coding or a plug-in that would cause a text box to pop up when words were moused over or clicked.

As far as the application, I'll be writing a lot of recipes and I'd like to have tips for novice cooks available, but not cluttering up the screen for more advanced readers.

Ideas?

Not me

It was the baby that just sent my husband out for an oreo milkshake.

Honest.

Hey, it's my last one, I have to milk it a little.
